objectivity

There is no such thing as objectivity.  Maybe in some purist scientific sense, but not in the ordinary human experience.  Everything is subjective.  The music I love others can't stand, the music others can't stand I may love.  Same for books, art, other people.

Words are subjective.  At least in interpretation.  Words also have a spectrum of meaning that varies depending on who is speaking or writing them and who is receiving them.

I am amazed that people can talk to each other and be correctly understood.  It does happen, but I think less often than people think it does.
